Today on a press conference Donald Tusk appealed to clerks and officials to “refuse to participate in murky intrigues of Jarosław Kaczyński”. Tusk also declared that Civic Platform will “watch the hands of those in power, precisely monitor abusing authority by middle- and higher-class officials”. No decision made by prosecutors, police officers, judges or ministers that violates the law will be left unpunished.”

These words appalled Karol Karski, a member of the parliament from PiS, who said that Tusk’s statement “resembled a call for coup”. We’d like to remind Mr Karski who seems to lack knowledge of Poland’s modern history, that such calls for coups have already taken place…

12th October 2004, Gazeta Wyborcza, “PiS: Officials, say “no” to government

The PiS’s appeal which shocked the Prime Minister was announced in their statement concerning concessions for building motorways. Law and Justice calls the state officials to “disobey anti-economical decisions of Belka’s government. For to avoid repetition of the situation known from Rywingate scandal, where probably due to some pressure the lower-grade officials took on the responsibility for decisions that result with official prosecutions”. PiS also promises “extensive support for all officials who dare to speak up”.

Is your memory enough refreshed now, Mr Karski?

Buddy, you are soo full of shit. You talk about the hypocrisy of the current government yet the newsposts you make on this blog and the obvious statements you try to make with them are indicative of yer own hypocrisy and inconsistency when it comes to covering the current events in polish politics by simply picking out those that represent only your p.o.v. and opinion about the Kaczynski brothers and their ‘Law and Justice’ party.

I admit they did a big mistake starting a coalition with ‘Selfdefense’ and the ‘League of polish families’ which imo are simply put the worst parties on the polish political scene and represent the most negative sides of our society from christian fanatism to radical nationalism. But one should also look at it this way: thanks to that coalition and the way ‘Law and Justice’ played them out for their own cause, those two partys will definately not make it into the new parlament during the upcoming election because they were simply put defaced by showing that they are corrupted, incompetent and incapable of ruling our nation.

I formyself will most likely vote for ‘Law and Justice’ again, just like I did last time and I’d also like to note that during the last election I voted for ‘Law and Justice’ as well as for ‘Civic Platform’ canditates in my voivodeship in hope of a center-liberal oriented coalition… well how it all ended up we see now, but putting aside all their differences I still hope that both parties will come to an agreement this time and looking at the numbers of the current pools they will have no choice anyway. And most people here in poland would not forgive them a coalition with one of the post-commie parties like ‘LiD’ or ‘SLD’ which allready proved how corrupted they are : /

Oh, please. PiS people got here as well? Isn’t your opinion a POV Vincent? First of all, PiS is nowhere near being a center or right wing party. It’s not a liberal party as well. So how do you expect them to form a government with PO?

Using SO and LPR was a smart move? So if PO would ‘use’ LiD in the same way would you praise it, or more likely bark about agents, communists and business coalition to destroy ‘the true Poland’ and sell it to jews …or something more absurd. Enough of this propaganda.

If your idols would really want to change the country they would already do something about it, rather than gathering power for their own needs. Eliminating every member of PZPR would mean they would have to get rid of 50% or more of their own members, punish their own families etc. So they just shout and create illusion.
