A few months ago, when the Minister of Education Roman Giertych announced postponing the beginning of the school year for 4th September, the children in the whole country were jumping for joy. The official inauguration of the school year was scheduled to take place in Wadowice, in the school which Karol Wojtyła attended. Roman the Educator also announced to add splendour to the event with his presence. The unlucky kids straight from the frying pan went into the fire as the Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński turned out to be more eager to see them. Moreover, Jarosław had already planned something else for that Monday, so he re-scheduled the event for September 1st. It seems that it’s going to be a really splendorous event; its programme includes a mass in Holiest Virgin Mary basilica celebrated by card. Stanisław Dziwisz, a parade of the guests, priests and local residents towards the school, unveiling of a plaque dedicated to John Paul II and opening of the papal hall. All of you willing to take part in the ceremony are advised not to sit on the grass – it may be fresh painted.

It seems that the reaction of Polish Families’ League for the recent upsurge of heat was a bit delayed, as only recently they have come up with another idea which proves the gradual yet visible loss of the grey cells in the brains of their members and sympathizers. This time they wish to… may I have your attention… Ladies and Gentlemen… deprive Jacek Kuroń of his Medal of the White Eagle [the highest state decoration]. The originators of this, deputies from LPR Arnold Masin and Bogusław Sobczak stated that Kuroń was cooperating with SB. Both of them seem unable to understand the written word and distinguish between “negotiated” and “cooperated”. They can be convinced neither by the participants of these past events who swear that Kuroń had not cooperated with SB, nor even by the SB agent who conducted these talks himself, now denying these were negotiations or reporting against anyone but just common repressions involving long and exhausting interrogations of the opposition members. When Poland stops giggling about this idea, we have a suggestion for the LPR deputies concerning another similar case. Back in 1410 in Grunwald, King Jagiełło took “two naked swords” from the Germans – isn’t that a proof of “cooperation”? Or bribery? And if it is, then what did he do in return?

Zines, magazines, dailies, weeklies, etc. We love them, praise them, read them and keep them in our bathrooms and closets. We do not discriminate even such titles as “Nasz Dziennik” [a conservative catholic daily issued by the owner of Radio Maryja, Tadeusz Rydzyk.] or “Trybuna” [a left-wing daily with some communist traditions]. We are familiar even with “Szczerbiec” [a nazi and anti-Jewish propaganda magazine, it was revealed recently that one of its contributors was Piotr Farfał, who has been recently given the vice-headship of National Council of Radio Broadcasting and Television]. However, the attitude of the vice-head of Polish Radio, Jerzy Targalski is exactly opposite to ours. He said, that it is necessary to mould the outlooks of young, inexperienced journalists in a proper way. Targalski explains, that the journalists are mainly reading, as he called it, the “Wybiórcza” daily (he probably had ”Gazeta Wyborcza”, issued by Agora on his mind [the deformed name means “Selective” – edit.]) as well as other anti-state papers or those controlled by the great Jewish-Mason-gay plot. Such titles as “Gazeta Polska” [“The Polish Daily”] or “Nasz Dziennik” will soon appear on the journalists’ desks, thus providing the readers from Polish Radio with adequate outlooks, fresh local & global news as well as a suitable dose of relevant comments and gossip about the Episcopate. The vice-head took it further by forbidding mutual contacts as he banned the journalists of Polish Radio from meeting their colleagues from “Polityka”. We’d like to remind Mr. Targalski, that he overlooked many equally interesting titles, such as “Niedziela”, “Głos”, “Aspekt Polski” or even the aforementioned “Szczerbiec”.

An article turned up in the Super Express daily, describing some adventures of the new Vice-minister of the Interior, Marek Surmacz. The Minister of the Interior Ludwik Dorn stood up for his subordinate. The first issue he tried to explain was the illegal connection to the electric network in Surmacz’s house. While the minister admitted Surmacz to have plugged in illegally, he also added that the vice-minister reported against himself to the Prosecutor’s Office (now THAT is a stool pigeon, isn’t it?). However, according to Surmacz himself it was his neighbour and not him who made a report… So where is the truth, Mr. Dorn? The minister also praised the merits of Surmacz’s family, one of the facts he quoted was the murder of Surmacz’s father in the Soviet extermination camp of Ostaszków. The camp was closed in 1940 and Surmacz was born in 1955, thus setting the longest pregnancy record of modern Europe. The accusation of causing a road crash and later trying to escape from the accident scene (which was only prevented by the injured parties) as well as the fact the Surmacz has been fired from the Police for simultaneous working for them and for Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz (the former Minister of Finance) as her spokesman during the presidential election were not covered by the minister Dorn’s statement. Perhaps it’s better for him.

The CBA (Central Bureau of Investigation) and the Ministry of Maritime Economy being the new institutions whose aim is to reduce the number of state administration organs may soon be accompanied by the National Centre for Research and Development, conforming to the Ministry of Research and High School Education. The sole creation cost is estimated at 7.5 mln €. The chief of the centre will have three vice-chiefs; the supervisory board will include 15 members and the whole staff of the Centre will number approx. 100. The Minister of the Interior explains: “If we want our administration to be good, then we must have an adequate number of clerks”. What will be the mission of the Centre? Supporting the most important research projects in Poland. How much will be allocated to these? Obviously 7,5 mln € less.

TPMoAP (The Prime Minister of All Poles) Jarosław Kaczyński delighted us with another stroke of diplomatic tact as he cancelled some meetings during his visit in Brussels. The desolated Belgian citizens who have a tough life with the Dutch as their neighbours anyhow, cannot hide their tears. So the PM won’t meet neither the businessmen and journalists in the exclusive site of European Political Studies Centre; nor the European Parliament deputies. The unsatisfied interlocutors don’t deny their feelings of indignation at him, amplified by the fact that they learned about the cancellation of PM’s visit today. The RMF FM radio correspondent reports that in Brussels they call this issue simply a lack of professionalism as well as a ducking tactic (the correlation between this strategy and the Polish PM’s last name is purely coincidental). Perhaps some kind of an article about potato farm appeared in Belgian press, or his cat Alik suffers from being home alone… Or maybe it’s all about the aviatophobia…?

Finally a true national Polish mineral water appeared on the market. The whole country couldn’t wait to see a product not manufactured by corporations embroiled in the Judeo-Mason plot – a product such as “Jankowski” mineral water. Grzegorz Kalicki, the originator of the water bearing the parish Jankowski’s name, says: “This will be the first Polish fine water due to the exclusive and elite brand bearing a famous person’s name, its beautiful label and the quality of the water itself. These bottles can be an ornament of any table!”. A true lover of parish’s patriotic thinking has another reason to enjoy the product – 10% of every bottle sold will be allocated to a charity supporting children in poverty (of course also bearing the parish’s name) and bringing SB agents to justice. Parish Jankowski is known for his effectiveness in investing in food industry, as last time a wine labelled with his name and image – the (red and white) Monsignore – turned out to be a bestseller on catholic tables. Therefore one can say with confidence, that the parish has made a miracle by turning wine into water.

Has there ever been something our page lacked, it would first be some longer forms of speech. Today we start with Tomek Łysakowski’s article. We’d like to thank him for authorising our publishing his articles on our site – this is definitely not your last chance to see them here. His blog (in Polish) can be found at http://lysakowski.blox.pl – really worth seeing! Below you can see the article. Click the “more” link to expand.

Today my approach will be strictly anti-clergy, perhaps this way I will insult someone’s religious feelings (those of you who find themselves god-fearing are advised to close this window) – as I simply can’t stand it. I have just read a homily from the Primate of Poland, Card. Józef Glemp and I need someone with whom I can share my thoughts of the holiest living Pole’s reflections. continue reading this entry »

The Ministry of Defence is working on a set of structural changes, which will result in increasing the number of departments from 12 to 15. The official aim of this is to improve the functioning of the departments through division of their competences. In addition, the Ministry of Defence will absorb some units which are currently distinct, making it possible for civilians to become their chiefs. It is also possible for another vice-minister position to be created. What is all this for? Zbigniew Łyżwiński from Samoobrona (Self-defence) explains: “It cannot stay as it is, when we as a partner are deprived of access to the decisions made there. We won’t let this one go.” Ryszard Czarnecki adds: “All negotiations are on the right track and we will have our men there.”

The consequences may be interesting: self-defence instead of defence. A harrow instead of a howitzer. And when they attack us, we’ll just spill all their wheat onto railway tracks, just as The Mastermind of Self-Defence showed us a time ago.
